Topika – Top Picks for South Africa, Where Quality Meets Affordability
Functional Blackout Curtains – Not Traditional Fabric Drapes
Designed primarily for light blocking, heat insulation and privacy, these curtains use a dense polyester outer layer combined with a black PU blackout liner.
Please note: the material is firmer and more structured than decorative fabric curtains, optimised for performance rather than softness.
100% Light Blocking with Black Liner Backing
The full blackout lining effectively blocks sunlight, street lights and harmful UV rays, creating a dark, restful environment. Ideal for bedrooms, nurseries, shift workers or home theatres.
Thermal Insulation & Energy Saving
The double-layer construction reduces heat transfer through windows, helping keep rooms cooler in summer and warmer in winter, lowering reliance on heating and air conditioning.
Enhanced Noise Reduction & Privacy Protection
The blackout structure helps dampen external noise and echoes.
Lab and in-home testing shows up to 60% noise reduction when fully drawn, while completely preventing outside visibility.
Durable, Practical & Easy to Install
Features silver metal grommets (4 cm inner diameter) for smooth sliding on standard curtain rods. Strong stitching ensures long-term use.
Machine washable below 30 C on gentle cycle. Do not bleach.
